Why reinvent the wheel?
In response to our admiration for creative toy innovators HandsOnToys, we developed a motion kit for their explosively popular Toobers and Zots toy, winner of over 30 major toy awards. Toobers and Zots is a creative, non-violent, gender neutral, imaginative construction toy for boys and girls that is destined to become a classic toy for the generations.

The Roadster & Dragster
We developed a wheel bearing to allow for motion of the connected pieces. We then created many shapes and connectors to build cars. By introducing new materials and manufacturing processes not previously considered for the toy, we were able to expand the possibilities for extensions to the line.

Market Factors
The Toobers and Zots technology was well protected, so we focused on our customer's need for a fast time to market. Taking into consideration the price points, manufacturing restrictions and needs, we worked with HandsOnToys to refine the kit to reflect the spirit of the highly respected HandsOnToys play philosophy. The entire product development and manufacturing cycle took only eight months from concept to toy shelves!

The Roadster & Dragster have been sold at many specialty toy stores including FAO Schwartz, Learning Express, Imaginarium and World of Science.
